Built by Australians, for Australian construction

Converge is the only Australian-owned major event showcasing the latest tools and technology in the municipal works, civil and commercial construction sectors. It will bring together key decision-makers from these industries to see the latest developments that are helping shape Australia’s future infrastructure.

Converge will be a one-stop-shop for sub-contractors, project engineers, council fleet managers, major contractors, government representatives, policymakers and industry leaders from both the public and private sectors.

Through a mix of live demonstrations, equipment showcases and conference spaces, the event will highlight the strengths of each sector, encouraging knowledge-sharing and providing visitors with the solutions needed to build and maintain the Australia of tomorrow.

What's On

Commercial Construction and Major Projects

Produced in partnership with Inside Construction magazine, the Major Projects Stage will feature Tier 1 contractors in the commercial construction and infrastructure sectors presenting case studies on major projects shaping Australia’s built environment. Attendees will hear directly from project leaders and gain valuable insights into complex, large-scale builds. This ticketed stage will also feature a VIP networking area.

Civil Construction and Maintenance

A major segment of the show will be dedicated to civil construction and road maintenance. In partnership with Roads & Infrastructure and Infrastructure magazines, this area will offer Tier 1 through Tier 3 contractors a look at the latest equipment and technology. The Main Stage will welcome leaders from major civil works projects and industry experts to share insights on Victoria’s Big Build.

Municipal Works

Converge will also feature a dedicated area for councils and asset managers to explore the latest tools in municipal works. From horticultural equipment to road maintenance and larger-scale trade machinery, this space will serve as a one-stop-shop for council fleet managers and sub-contractors, with a particular focus on zero-emission technology. The Municipal Works Stage will help visitors advance their operations and contribute to the sector’s continued growth.

Construction Technology

From the construction site to the boardroom, Converge will showcase the latest technology and software solutions for managing projects ranging from small builds to Australia’s most complex developments. From artificial intelligence and BIM to autonomous machinery and project management platforms, the exhibition floor and Converge Conference will highlight the emerging tools shaping the future of construction.

No-Dig Down Under

Co-located with No-Dig Down Under, Converge will take advantage of an active audience of engineers and asset owners involved in infrastructure construction and management who attend the event as part of their CPD through Engineers Australia. No-Dig Down Under welcomes decision makers overseeing assets from utility companies across Australia, as well as councils, who attend to see the latest in trenchless technology.

The Energy Transition: Construction's Changing Landscape

11:30am – 12:15pm

As Australia moves towards a low-emissions future, the construction sector must adapt – not only in the way it builds, but in how it plans, sources and delivers projects. This panel unpacks how the energy transition is reshaping the industry, with industry leaders discussing emerging technologies, key hurdles, and the practical opportunities driving change across the sector.

Shaping Cities Through Integrated Transport and Precinct Planning

12:30pm – 1:15pm

Lissa will unpack Victoria’s Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) – a 90-kilometre underground rail line set to reshape Melbourne. As one of the world’s most ambitious infrastructure projects, SRL will connect the city’s middle suburbs, link major rail services, and integrate transport infrastructure and urban planning. Construction of SRL East, the first stage of the project, is underway and due for completion by 2035. As Australia’s largest housing initiative, SRL is also expected to drive investment and development in well-located, well-serviced neighbourhoods, with 70,000 new homes to be progressively delivered around the new stations.

Stronger Foundations: Prioritising Mental Health, Mentorship and Wellbeing in Construction

2:30pm – 3:15pm

High-pressure environments, long hours and workforce churn continue to impact mental health, psychological safety and wellbeing in construction. This panel will explore how construction organisations are addressing these challenges – through early intervention, peer support, mentoring, and leadership that puts people first. Learn how a focus on wellbeing and mentorship can improve retention, safety and long-term performance on site and across teams.

The Green Revolution: Redefining Sustainability in the Built Environment

3:30pm – 4:15pm

As expectations for sustainable outcomes rise, construction and infrastructure projects are under increasing pressure to do more with less – less carbon, less waste, and less environmental impact. This panel will examine how sustainability is being redefined across the built environment, from materials and methods to policy and procurement. Hear from industry leaders pushing beyond compliance to embed practical, scalable solutions.

Global Solutions for Local Workforce Challenges

4:30pm-4:55pm

With workforce shortages continuing to affect construction and infrastructure delivery, access to skilled migration remains a critical lever for industry. In this keynote, Camm will provide up-to-date information on current skilled visa pathways available to businesses struggling to fill roles locally. The presentation will cover practical options, recent updates and next steps for employers looking to tap into global talent to meet project demands.

Hear from industry leaders about what’s working, what’s not, and how to cut through the noise when investing in new technology.
