Meanwhile, rethinking procurement and contracting will consider how changing procurement models and risk allocation are influencing project outcomes, while making better project decisions will examine how clients are responding to constraints by reassessing project scope, timing and expectations.
Prime Creative Media Head of Marketing – Events, Molly Hancock said the themes reflect the conversations the industry needs to be having as Australia enters a significant period of construction and infrastructure delivery.
“There is a huge amount of work ahead for the construction industry, but having projects in the pipeline is only one part of the equation. The real challenge is making sure the industry has the people, capacity and capability to deliver them,” Hancock said.
“We wanted Converge to focus on that challenge. The purpose is not simply to talk about what is happening in construction, but to equip the people delivering projects with the knowledge, connections and solutions they need to respond.”

Converge will also be introducing the Contractor Hub, a dedicated space on the show floor for contractors to connect with exhibitors and attendees. This feature creates valuable face-to-face opportunities with the people responsible for delivering Australia’s major construction projects.
