National Precast Concrete Association Australia (National Precast) will bring the voice of Australia’s precast concrete sector to Converge 2027, joining the event as an Association Partner.
National Precast represents Australia’s precast concrete industry, supporting the sector and promoting the use of precast concrete across construction and infrastructure. Its partnership with Converge 2027 will create further opportunities for its members to connect with professionals across construction, engineering, infrastructure and manufacturing.
Held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 15–16 September 2027, Converge Expo will bring together the people and businesses involved in delivering major construction projects, creating a meeting point for industry to share ideas, explore new technology and build valuable connections.
Cadell Taye, CEO of National Precast, said the partnership was a natural fit given the breadth of industries represented at Converge.
“Converge brings together people from across construction, infrastructure, engineering and manufacturing, making it a natural fit for the National Precast Association,” Taye said.
“The partnership gives our members a stronger platform to showcase the capability, innovation and value of precast concrete while connecting with the wider industry.”
For National Precast, the value of events such as Converge extends beyond simply showcasing products and services.
“Face-to-face events create stronger conversations and relationships than digital communication alone. They allow people to exchange practical knowledge, explore new ideas, see emerging products and technologies, and discuss shared challenges directly with industry peers, clients and decision makers,” Taye said.
Molly Hancock, Head of Marketing – Events at Prime Creative Media, said National Precast’s involvement would add another important perspective to the conversations taking place across Converge.
“Construction is changing quickly, and the way we design, manufacture and deliver projects is a huge part of that conversation. Having National Precast involved gives attendees another opportunity to see how manufacturing can support smarter project delivery and where new approaches are already making a difference,” Hancock said.
Hancock said the partnership also reflects the broader purpose of Converge.
“Converge is about getting the right people into the same room. National Precast connects us with a sector that has a huge role to play in the future of construction, and we’re looking forward to creating opportunities for those conversations to happen across the show floor.”
Taye said National Precast is looking forward to bringing the precast sector into broader industry discussions at Converge 2027 and creating valuable opportunities for its members to connect, collaborate and showcase their expertise.
“We are also excited to engage with people who may not yet fully understand the range of solutions precast can offer,” she said.
With pressure mounting across the construction and infrastructure sectors to deliver projects faster, more safely and with lower environmental impacts, Taye said there are important conversations ahead around productivity, technology and new approaches to manufacturing.
“The industry is navigating growing pressure to deliver infrastructure and buildings faster, more safely and with lower environmental impacts, while managing workforce shortages, rising costs and productivity challenges,” she said.
“We look forward to discussing how precast, advanced manufacturing, design for manufacture and assembly, digital technology and lower-carbon materials can help the industry respond.”
National Precast’s partnership adds to the growing industry representation at Converge 2027, including partnerships with Empowered Women in Trades, NexGen Construction and Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia.
Converge 2027 will be held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 15–16 September 2027.
