NexGen joins Converge 2027 as Association Partner

Converge Expo is pleased to welcome NexGen as an Association Partner for its 2027 edition, strengthening the event’s focus on the people, skills and businesses shaping the future of Australia’s construction industry.

Returning to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 15–16 September 2027, Converge brings together professionals from across construction, infrastructure, engineering and manufacturing to connect with the technologies, products and expertise supporting major projects across Australia.

As an Association Partner, NexGen will bring its focus on supporting the next generation of industry professionals to the Converge community, helping create greater opportunities for emerging talent to connect with businesses and industry leaders.

“For NexGen, partnering with Converge is about being part of the conversations that are shaping the future of our industry. We’re passionate about creating stronger connections across construction and supporting the people, ideas and opportunities that will move our industry forward. Converge provides a great platform for NexGen to be part of exactly that,” NexGen Executive Director Lauren Fahey said.

“There is real value in bringing the industry together in one place. For NexGen, Converge gives us the opportunity to step outside of the day-to-day, connect with people from across the sector, share ideas and have meaningful conversations about where our industry is heading.”

Molly Hancock, Head of Marketing – Events at Prime Creative Media, said NexGen’s involvement aligns strongly with Converge’s focus on bringing the industry together.

“Converge is about the projects and products driving construction forward but also about the people delivering them. Having NexGen involved gives emerging professionals a stronger connection to the businesses and leaders shaping the industry,” she said.

“NexGen brings an important perspective to the Converge community, particularly as the industry looks towards its future workforce. We’re looking forward to working with the team and creating opportunities for the next generation to be part of the conversation.”

Converge 2027 will provide a meeting point for construction professionals across the project lifecycle, with the event showcasing products, services and ideas across construction, infrastructure, engineering and manufacturing.

Fahey said that NexGen values Converge for its focus on connection, as construction is “ultimately a people industry”.

“It creates an opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with familiar faces and hear different perspectives. We’re looking forward to seeing the innovation coming through the industry and being part of those conversations,” Fahey said.

“One thing I’ve learnt throughout my career is that some of the best opportunities come from simply getting the right people in the room and starting a conversation. That’s what excites me about Converge. It’s a chance to connect, learn from each other and look at how we can collectively build a stronger industry, which is why NexGen is proud to be partnering with Converge again.”

The event will be co-located with Data Centre Build Expo, Australia’s dedicated exhibition for the physical construction and delivery of data centre infrastructure. The co-location will provide visitors with access to two complementary industry events at the one venue, connecting the broader construction sector with the specialist businesses delivering Australia’s growing data centre infrastructure.

Converge 2027 will take place on 15–16 September 2027 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
