Craig Rothleitner
Craig Rothleitner is a trade-qualified motor mechanic and heavy rigger who spent over a decade in the dredging industry, where he witnessed firsthand the environmental impacts of unfiltered stormwater — particularly the buildup of sediment and waste in harbors, lakes, and estuaries. Recognizing a critical gap in existing stormwater treatment technologies, Craig invented a groundbreaking filtration system ARI Filter capable of high-flow, fine-particle capture. His patented technology is field- and lab-validated to process over 3,080 liters per minute per square meter, capturing pollutants as small as 63 microns — a global first. With hands-on experience opening and inspecting over 16,000 stormwater drains across multiple countries, Craig has developed a deep understanding of the scale of urban water contamination, the limitations of current infrastructure, and the failure of legacy systems such as GPTs, CDS devices, wetlands, swales, and WSUD designs to prevent Cyanobacterial Harmful Algal Blooms. Today, Craig leads a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with universities, research institutions, government agencies, and policy think tanks to drive innovation in stormwater management and environmental protection. His mission is to transform how we manage rainfall before it becomes polluted stormwater — and to restore the health of our urban waterways at scale
