Katie O’Malley
Katie O’Malley rejoined BMD in 2024 to lead the Corporate Affairs team and sustainability strategy, playing a key role in strengthening BMD’s reputation as an Australian-owned, community-focused industry leader. With over a decade of experience across construction, engineering, and the built environment, she has held senior roles at BESIX Watpac, Surbana Jurong Group, SMEC Group, and Hastings Deering Caterpillar. Katie’s foundation in media, combined with experience in government relations, brings a strategic and well-rounded perspective to sustainability leadership. She has also served on the Australian Contractors Association Board and several not-for-profit foundation boards, championing industry collaboration and community impact.
